Charlotte Albertina Rosina was born on February 18th, 1826 in Köln am Rhein.1   Charlotte Albertina Rosina's father was Gustav Albert Albert Lortzing and her mother was Rosina Regina Ahles.  Her paternal grandparents were Johann Gottlob Lortzing and Charlotte Sophie Seidel; her maternal grandfather was Johann Ahles and her maternal grandmother is Regina Dorothea Kühlbren (Kohlbren). She had three brothers and seven sisters, named Karl Theodoor, Johann Heinrich, Ferdinand Philipp Victor Johann, Bertha, Caroline Rosalie, Caroline Elisabeth Henriette Charlotte, Julie Eleonore Charlotte Luise, Anna Charlotte Henriette, Therese Franziska Albertine and Marie.  She was the second oldest of the eleven children.  She died at the age of 34 on December 22nd, 1860 in Berlin.1
