| The "Allgemeine Musikalische
Zeitung" was an important periodical, published by Breitkopf & Härtel,
the music publisher from Leipzig who, starting with "Zar und Zimmermann",
published almost all Lortzing's operas. Announcements and reviews of published
sheet music and performances provided the main part of the contents. I
will collect on this website all the articles on Lortzing that appeared
in the AMZ between 1838 and 1848. |
